Loved the story of Mia and Quinn! Mia is 26 and a virgin! She has landed a new job but is awkward around men with very little self confidence due to her past weight problems. Quinn is Mia's brother Harry's best friend who is also a male escort. Mia decides she needs to loose her virginity and has hired an unsuspecting Quinn to help her with that. Quinn has only met Mia a couple of times years and years ago when she was over weight and she is sure he won't remember her. She emails him under the name of Maya and he is intrigued with her, its really cute the emailing back and forth, forming a friendship with him. She arranges a session with him for the following week and during this 10 days you get to see some of his life as an escort. He is wonderful with her during their time together!The very next day Quinn meets Harry for lunch and runs into Maya/Mia who is also there to have lunch with Harry. Quinn is totally confused and upset to find out she is his best friends sister. He takes her home and she is able to apologize to him for not telling him who she was. They continue to spend time together and Mia realizes she is falling in love with him even though he has made it clear he likes his life and isn't looking for anything more. It takes Quinn a little longer to realize his feelings for her. After seeing her on a date with another man he decides he can give up his job and work towards being a police officer.
Mia and Quinn realize they have to tell her brother and Quinn being the one to break the bro code goes to talk to him. It doesn't go well when the both return to Mia's place and have it out. It takes several weeks for Harry to come around but he finally does once they become engaged. I can't wait to read his book! He was also once a male escort and left the business when he fell in love with a client.
This book needs some editing and it has some timing problems. I believe the author threw in a few extra Thursdays and Fridays in the week prior to their Sunday appointment. It was also very confusing on Harrys job, one minute he is a bar tender, the next he works in an office, then back to the bartender and he is miserable at both jobs. Without these problems it would be a 5 star book!

Their texting progresses to phone calls which he beings to look forward to and he begins to be attracted to her voice more and more...wanting to know her; protect her from her vulnerabilities. They spend ten days conversing and become friends --- preparing Mia for her "first time". And while they get to know each other more and more, Quinn must fight his growing attraction to Mia. She eventually grows to become more than a mere client to him.
I loved how this story began --- texting a stranger and you become fast friends. Soon it's as if you've known each other since....forever. You each become a necessary part of each others' day...an addiction. And soon your friendship becomes solid. And when you meet for the first time, nothing is awkward. It's perfect. You just "click". Everything about your first meeting is utterly new yet familiar at the same time. And you value that friendship beyond any others....you need that friendship in your life and don't want to do anything to jeopardize it. But your friendship has grown and crescendoed into more....and you each, secretly, want to tap into that "more" and explore those emotions that are ready to erupt.....except you don't wanna chance losing your friend (or her brother who is like a brother to you). This is a wonderfully fun and brilliant dilemma with very little drama, and Ms. Belle Aurora is brilliant telling this fabulous romantic story.
4.5 stars. Mia has decided to seek out Matt Quinn for his escort services. Quinn also happens to be her brother Harry's best friend. While he doesn't remember the specifics of meeting her years ago because he was drunk at the time, he left a memorable impression on Mia. She's moved back into town and is starting her new job and life and ready to take the plunge in physical intimacy.
Mia used to be overweight and her dating experiences were extremely limited. Figuring that Quinn can be her first sexual partner to show her the ropes gives Mia the confidence to move forward. Not to mention that she has a crush on him, too. Initially, they only communicate via email or text message, but eventually progress to phone calls before their first face to face interaction. Mia comes off sassy to her brother and confident and fearless at work. But on the inside, she is insecure when it comes to anything intimate.
I really loved Quinn. He's high in demand and he gives as good as he gets if not more, but he's become increasingly detached from his job. Forming a friendship with Mia prior to meeting her offers him something new, the opportunity to really get to know a client as a true friend with whom he can share his most honest thoughts with. What I adored about him was how much he enjoyed getting to know Mia as a person and he hadn't even seen her yet, but he wasn't ever focusing on her would-be appearance regardless.
When they are together, Quinn and Mia fit with one another like 2 pieces of a puzzle. Now that they've met and Quinn has provided his services, do they continue to remain friends? What about when Quinn finds out who Mia's brother really is? Is Mia just a client whom he can let go or would Quinn consider changing his ways for her?
