I first came across Becky in her sister, Maddy's story, 'Cafenova', and at one point when Becky wanted to slap Maddy, I thought "I like this woman" because I, too, wanted to slap Maddy! After that I HAD to buy the book about Becky.Becky is a very attractive tall, slim blonde who has made some bad choices in her life and consequently has low self-esteem. She makes a decision that she has had enough of men and is done with them, but then an unusual man enters her life and her resolution is tested. However, there is much more to this woman than appearances would suggest and I was caught up as her character was unfolded and developed as the pages were turned. Her 'relationship' with former athlete, Tank, was in danger of becoming a little tedious as Becky blew hot and cold for a good part of the book, but the author managed to hold my interest and keep the story flowing. The author raises some delicate issues for Becky but deals with them in a sensitive and compassionate way.
Tank wasn't a very likeable character at the beginning of the book, but his character was also developed by the author in a very amusing and realistic way. I found his courtship of Becky very moving in some ways and highly entertaining as well. Both main characters are very well-developed and it was easy to get caught up in their lives.
This is another clean romance from this author and I thoroughly enjoyed Becky's story.
Four stars is high praise from me. I am very sparing with my five stars.

I love how the characters change and mature as the story grows. Becky's self worth is very low and Tank doesn't know what to do with himself now that his career is over. Watching the initial antagonism change into respect and love was a joy. This is a wonderful story of finding love when least expected. Looking forward to reading other works by this author.
I liked the flow of the story and the humorous exchanges between the two main characters. This author's writing style is easy to read and yet full of substance.
Tank and Becky star in this book. Tank is an ex-football player who is trying to find what he wants to do now that he cannot play football anymore. Becky is looking for where she wants to be since the last job she had didn't work out. Neither are looking for the other and frankly they both start out on the wrong foot with the other.
The book was well written and I felt like I was right there with them. Looking forward to reading more by this author!
I am frustrated by the number of misspelled words, and words used in sentences where they do not belong. Are these books not edited/checked for errors! Very frustrating!!
I wasn't sure I'd like this book, it started out a very clean, squeaky clean and with a bit stereotypical characters-the football player and blonde female at odds with each other, but as I read on the characters were developed really well with good tension moving the book forward. After awhile I was anxious to get back to reading to find out what they'd be up to next! The book is very clean, but not at all boring. Very likable and interesting characters and a good pace and tension in the plot development! It's a good read!! Well done Susie!
Like Maddy and John's story I really enjoyed Becky and Tanks story. Becky was introduced in the first book of the series when she came to stay with Maddy in Maine. Becky the More outgoing free sister who was always looking for a good time. Becky grew and matured in this book to become such a great lead women.
Becky and Tanks relationship was rough to start with. But as their lives seemed to become entwined especially against Becky's wishes the more the sparkes of attraction grew and evolved and a real relationship was lingering right in front of them.
This was truly a sweet and clean romance and I really enjoyed it. I chose to read this book because the title instantly me think of romantic-comedy. While I agree with it being categorized as such, this story delivered a lot of substance in a very light-hearted way - covering such issues as a woman feeling unworthy because of previous poor choices with men, an athlete struggling to adjust to life outside of playing sports because of injury, the adjustments of new marriage as a step-parent, the development of new friendships, and the adjustments of being in transition and living in a new to town. Although Becky's resistance to her attraction to Tank was becoming annoying, I was still interested in seeing how he'd sway her and at what point she'd accept (or realize she is worthy of) his care for her. I liked the author's tone and writing style, all the characters, and the way important life issues where addressed -because essentially, the story is about hope and second chances.
